End of Summer start of Fall
As a family every year, we would all go to Sandpiper on Pacific beach. The last couple years we havnt gone, due to schedules and having a hard time getting close to 35 people to all come together at once. Well, this year, we all reunited and made it happen. It was such a blast. Here are some pics of our wonderful time.

What would we do without family?
I thought I would do a post just on my family. I love them all so much, words really cant describe. We are all so close, and I think we would die without each other. Here are some pics of some special people in our close family circle.
Enjoy!

Ladd-Wickwire Reunion
A little while ago we did our annual Ladd-Wickwire family reunion. I'm so proud of our family....we have successfully had 4 or more reunions! Every time we go, we always have such a blast. Dan and Gail (my aunt and uncle) are such wonderful hosts. All we do is laugh, catch up on the last 6 months of our lives, and take lots of pictures. This year we got to go to the farmers market in downtown Vancouver. "Farmers Market" does not do it justice. It should be called a fair without the rides. We could have spent all day there. It was just too much fun.
Here was Basketball Papa and Carrott and their 3 grand kids.....
(Its a little hard to get them all to sit and smile all at once)

Prestona and Nay Nay watching and waiting on the balloon guy
Oh man was there good food there. Here was a huge, I'm talking huge payaya plate. Michael got a bowl of it and it was so good.
Little Nay Nay jumpin around
This is one of my favorite pictures ever!! I think I might get it framed and put it on our family wall. Maya refused to get in the pool so she lounged and watched everyone else. Doesn't she look adorable!?
Also at the market there was an antique car show going on. So we walked up and down the road and ooh'ed and ahhhh'ed over all of the cool cars. Michael and I picked out which ones we would want for ourselves if we lived back in the 50's.Tuesday, August 25, 2009
Convention 2009
This year our convention was at the beginning of July and man it was hot. It was one of the best conventions I have been to though. The information was so wonderful. And Preston was actually really good. We stayed in a hotel in Federal Way so that made the 3 day adventure much more bearable. Every night after our long day of sitting and taking notes, we came back and got dinner and went swimming. What a good way to cool off and relax. It cooled down to the 70's at night and that made it much more comfortable.
Here is a picture from our seats. I think there was around 9,000~10,000 people on average each day.

This was DD and Ricks first year of marriage. We had some family and friends over to our house and had a barbecue and made a big fire in our pit and made smores. It was such a fun night. We had good food, and awesome company.

Graduation and Farewell
So this was Preston's first year of Preschool. He is in the A/B class which is the 1st of 2 preschool classes. Next year he will be in Pre-K. Soooooooo, a couple weeks ago, Mrs Hizzey put on her annual graduation for all of the Pre-K graduates. Preston's class had a small part, but it was really centered on the Pre-K kiddos. It was still really special though, because 3 of the kids Preston goes to Mrs Paula's with graduated. So we went to support them, and to see Preston have a small part in the whole production. We got to see him sing and do some sign language to a couple songs. It was a bittersweet night though, because the three that graduated wont be going to Mrs Paulas anymore since they will be in full time kindergarten. We love those kids to much!!
It was such a beautiful night. We had so much fun. I cant believe that next year it will be Preston up there graduating.
Preston showing off his present from Mr Ron and Mrs Paula. He got a sweet card and some money to buy whatever he wanted. The next day we went to Target and got him a baseball T, ball, and new bat.

Prestons Teeth Cleaning
So Preston just got his teeth cleaned for the second time now. We go see my Aunt Renie who is a hygienist. Her and Preston have a connection with each other, so Preston actually likes when we go get to see Auntie Renie to have her look at his teeth!! She is so great with him. So gentle, but also has fun with him, so he is always at ease.
As you can tell........
The motorized toothbrush....I love those things!!
He was so relaxed. As you can see, arms behind his head, and legs up.....just chillin.
He didn't like the fluoride as much as he did last time. But we made it through.
And in the end, Auntie Renie bought Preston a cookie from Starbucks, and got him a couple balloons for being so good.
